Lenten Sermon Series

The Inner Work of the Cross

A Three-Week Journey Toward Easter

Lent is not about outward performance. It is about inward transformation.

In this three-week sermon series, we will explore how the cross reshapes our identity, our desires, and our surrender as we move toward Easter. Each week stands on its own, yet together they form a powerful spiritual arc from exposure to renewal.

February 22 – “The Wilderness Reveals You”
Luke 4:1–13
Before resurrection, there is exposure. In the wilderness, Jesus resists shortcuts and faces the deeper question of identity. What is revealed in us when control is stripped away?

March 1 – “Where Your Treasure Is”
Matthew 6:1–21
Spiritual practices are not about proving holiness; they train the heart. Prayer, fasting, and generosity reshape what we love and where we place our trust.

March 8 – “The False Self Must Die”
John 12:24 / Luke 18:9–14
Resurrection requires surrender. What must fall away in us for new life to rise?

This series is simple, grounded, and Christ-centered.
