Summer Outing to Glencairn Museum

Experience The Sacred Art of Ethiopia

Join Newtown UMC on Tuesday, July 21, for a special summer outing to Glencairn Museum in Bryn Athyn. Together we will enjoy a guided Highlights Tour of the museum followed by time to experience The Sacred Art of Ethiopia, an exhibition celebrating one of the world’s oldest Christian traditions through sacred art, biblical imagery, crosses, icons, and paintings.

Schedule

11:15 a.m. — Optional lunch at Ben & Irv’s Deli Restaurant
1:00 p.m. — Arrive at Glencairn Museum
1:15 p.m. — Guided tour begins

Cost

Adults: $15
Seniors (65+): $12

This outing connects with many of the themes we have explored in Bible study, including Scripture, Christian spirituality, mysticism, and the wisdom of other religious traditions.
