Writing Your Life: A Six-Week Memoir Workshop

Everyone has stories worth preserving. This six-week guided memoir workshop invites participants to explore meaningful moments from their lives and shape them into short written pieces. Each session includes a brief lesson, a writing prompt, and optional sharing in a supportive and encouraging environment. No writing experience is required.

Workshop Details

  • Six-week series beginning Tuesday, September 22 or Thursday, September 24, 2026
  • Tuesday sessions: 6:30 PM
  • Thursday sessions: 10:00 AM
  • Newtown United Methodist Church Library
  • 90-minute sessions
  • Participants are encouraged to bring a notebook and pen. A laptop is also welcome. Legal pads and pens will be available.

Participants may choose the Tuesday evening session or the Thursday morning session based on the time that works best for them.

Whether you are writing for family, friends, future generations, or simply for yourself, this workshop will help you capture memories, discover themes in your life story, and begin putting them on paper.
