Feeding Local Families in Need
Newtown UMC is responding to the growing need for food support in Bucks County.
We have placed two large black bins outside our church doors for food drop-offs, available any time, day or night.
Non-perishable food items like pasta, canned goods, cereal, and peanut butter are especially appreciated, as well as household essentials that SNAP benefits do not cover, such as paper products, cleaning supplies, toiletries, and diapers.
Donations are collected weekly and distributed to local families through the Wrightstown Food Cupboard.
But this is just the beginning. Our goal is to expand this ministry into what we’re beginning to envision as the NUMC Food Hub, a hands-on way for our church to serve the community directly through Newtown UMC.
You can help by:
- Drop off food items in the outdoor bin this Sunday and throughout November.
- Give financially through Newtown UMC, checks payable to Newtown UMC (memo: Wrightstown Food Pantry) or online through our secure giving page.
- Volunteer with our Mission & Outreach Team as we plan future service projects right here at Newtown United Methodist Church.
Let’s build something lasting together, a church that not only gives but serves directly!
