United Methodist Men at Newtown UMC is a community of men who are committed to their spiritual growth, experience God’s transforming power in their lives, and share their faith to live and grow in others. We are a supportive fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually, and to seek his will. 

Through our ministry, we aim to live out the good news of Jesus Christ within our congregation and beyond. In support of this purpose, United Methodist Men:

  • Runs a scrap metal drive, which helps support numerous missions and outreach projects within NUMC and globally. 
  • The missions that we support include the Caring for Friends food delivery ministry, Shaloca International Ministries, and we support the salary for a Pastor in Sierra Leon.
  • Supports NUMC’s disaster response trailer, which we have deployed numerous times to aid recovery efforts following natural disasters. 
  • Hosts our church-wide annual Pig Roast
